SOMERVILLE, MA: The Rebekah Gewirtz Campaign today announced that Somerville businessman Steven Grossman, proprietor of MassEnvelope Plus on Cobble Hill Road, has Endorsed Rebekah Gewirtz for Ward Six Alderman. Grossman will headline a fundraiser for Gewirtz’s campaign on Tuesday, October 11.
“Rebekah is the kind of leader who really makes a difference in our community,” said Grossman. “It was an easy decision to support her. She is an experienced leader with a true commitment to our families.”
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of a local business leader like Steve Grossman,” said Gewirtz. “I believe we share the same commitment to our community and our city, and his endorsement means a great deal to me.”
Grossman joins former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich and organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers-Massachusetts Chapter, the Sierra Club, Massachusetts Chapter of the National Organization for Women, and the Progressive Democrats of Somerville in supporting Gewirtz’ candidacy.
The October 11 event will take place at the home of Beth Wasserman, a resident of 10 Leonard Street, from 8:00—9:30 p.m.
Rebekah Gewirtz, a resident of Lowden Avenue, is the former Legislative Director for State Representative Pat Jehlen. Currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs for the National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Chapter, Rebekah co-founded the Progressive Democrats of Somerville and serves on the Ward 6 Democratic Committee.
